birthday get together
Hi guys,
it's also my birthday this month (17th) so I thought we could have a dinner get together on Saturday 29th August at the Watsy RSL. I'd love it if you could join me! To make sure we get a table, I probably should book so if you could let me know if you're going to be able to join me I'd appreciate it.
I really hope that you all can make it... it's been such a long time since I've seen you all, and I'm sure that there's heaps to tell.
Cheers
Deb

stuff
Hi guys,
I've added a few things onto the blog that I thought you might be interested in (or perhaps it's just me... being a psych and all). Anyway, it all started with the blog about raising optimistic children and then I started to think about attachment (development of relationships and understanding other people) and then about how children gain an understanding about the world. And then I thought that you too might be interested in this stuff so here it is. I've included links on each post, for you to read an easy-to-read page for more information, or else you can just do a search on the interwebs for the words in the title.
Hope that you enjoy what you read, and I'd be loven it if you'd like to talk with me about this stuff! Hope you are all well and we get to see you soon.
Cheers

Attachment Theory
What is attachment theory?
A way of understanding the nature of the attachment bonds between infants and their caregivers.
Attachment theory, originating in the work of psychiatrist and psychoanalyst John Bowlby, is a psychological, evolutionary and ethological theory that provides a descriptive and explanatory framework for understanding interpersonal relationships between human beings. Attachment theorists consider children to have a need for a secure relationship with adult caregivers, without which normal social and emotional development will not occur.
(have a look at wikipedia and get a better understanding of attachment and then these diagrams should make more sense) (where it says "parter", it means social partner, or any other person that you are engaging with on a social level... including door to door sales people, car wash guys, people you have very little actual contact with)

Raise an Optimistic Child
People who take the ‘glass half full’ approach to life enjoy better physical and mental health. Here are ten ways that you can encourage optimism in your child.
1. Provide children with realistic challenges that give them opportunities to experience success – whether it’s learning to tie their shoelaces or loading the dishwasher.
2. Resist the temptation to step in when your child is feeling anxious or overwhelmed by a situation. Instead, help them to identify and evaluate alternative ways of dealing with the problem.
3. Help your child persist in the face of obstacles. Learning to handle setbacks is as important as dealing with achievements.
4. Encourage your child to take credit for their achievement rather than downplaying it or putting it down to luck.
5. Acknowledge failures. Expressing negative feelings when things go wrong can help your child to put setbacks in perspective.
6. Be specific and discerning with your praise. Use the opportunity to give your child feedback on what they do well so they can learn to identify their strengths.
7. Involve your child in family decision making. This develops problem-solving skills and builds confidence.
8. Use stories from your own life that show how you got through a difficult situation or succeeded despite an initial setback. Sharing books and films that have an optimistic message can also be helpful.
9. Foster a culture of appropriate praise and respect. This is a powerful way of encouraging healthy self-esteem.
10. Practise what you preach. Children can learn optimism unconsciously by observing people around them and you can be a powerful role model.

anybody out there?
I soooooo feel like I'm not in the club anymore! Wonder if anybody would be prepared to put some photos of the kids online so I can see how they're all going? Jodie sent me some of the two girls which was really nice, I enjoyed getting her update. But there's some of the babies that I don't actually think I've met and now time is racing on and I haven't seen any of you in such a long time! Hope you are all well. We are, we're very, very busy, but in another year or two things will calm down a bit. Anybody heard from Naomi? Cheers, Deb

The party is over!
Hi guys,
In case you didn't get the email (and you certainly didn't get the paper invites that have taken us weeks to get the time to write... because we didn't get the time to deliver them). We've had to cancel Issy's bday party because we just don't have the time to organise or pull off a party.
We're going to have to have a low key afternoon tea with my mum and dad.
I hope at the end of the semester that we can perhaps plan a weekend out (I know, I'm probably not as interesting as your hubbies but please?).
Please write to us and tell us all of your stories and all the things your children are doing.
Take care out there.
Deb

Hi everyone,
Just want to remind you all that we decided to hesd to rare bears next thursday. As the weather is looking quite grim on the weather channel for the next few thursdays we might need to look for some alternatives. ( we live by the rain chart!!) Any how we can worry about it as it comes. see you next week at rare bears, i will be there from 9!!
Sorry about max's behaviour today. It didn't really improve for the rest of the day so yippee for me!! There apparently is light at the end of the tunnel as he gets older. But I have one of those as well, and I tell you what the attitude at the age of 11 is just as good if not better than a 2 and a half year old!! Kids who would have them!!!
We love them I know we do!!
Speak soon lauren

Issy's 1st birthday party is on!
Sunday 3 May from 2.30ish - 5pm.
Under the carport (I know, so very Kath and Kim!) at our place in Eltham.
If you think you might want to sit down then please bring a chair or two (all of ours are in storage!)
We'll have a large blanket on the grass for the babies.
Come one, come all! It's been such a long time since we've seen anyone that we are really only having this party so we can see you all. So we hope that you can make it.
PS you're wondering what my delightful daughter is doing in the photo? she's practicing frowning, but because I laugh she now does frown eyebrows while laughing... so she just looks slightly crazy. And more excitedly, she's officially walking, and is saying 'ta' and 'hello' and she nods/shakes her head to questions (like do you want a drink, are you hungry, would you like a kiss?) and often gives different answers, so we truely believe that she's telling us what she wants ... freaken genius!

Issy's 1st birthday
Hello ladies,
I was disappointed to not be able to make it last night... but that's the joys of being married to a shift worker! Bet you had a nice time. So, what's new? Next Monday and Tuesday I am not going to work so if anybody would like to catch up please let me know cuz I'd love to catch up with as many of you guys as I can. You know, it's been such a long time since I saw everyone that I'm not sure that I remember all of the Gen2 children's names!
How are you all going being stay at home mothers with multiple children (Manda, hope your feet up all the way!). I couldn't be further from staying at home... between work, studying 2 post-grad courses and until last weekend house hunting I've been lucky to be at home at all. For those that haven't heard (those not on facebook), Karl and I have bought a block of land in Watsonia! Down towards Ange's but on the other side of the railway line... actually in between the railway and the bypass... yes, I could be a sales woman! So we are now getting plans drawn up, speaking to draughtspeople and builders.
And, it's almost Issy's 1st birthday! So, because I can't imagine seeing you guys before then I hope that you can all make it! We will be holding a party on Sunday 3 March. The location and time is yet to be confirmed, just waiting to find out if we can book a bbq at an Eltham park. I know it's going to be a bit hard for the younger children but at this stage it will probably be 10.30-1.
Missing you all & hope to see you soon!

playgroup venue
HI Girls,
Just letting you all know that I called Dawn, the lady from the council who organises the playgroup venue, to let her know that we won't be staying on after the term holidays.
She was fine with that and said if we ever want to start up again we can do so easily. The term finishes on the 3rd April, so the 2nd will be our last session. Whoever has the key at the time (not sure who??), could you please return it to me that day (I will try not to forget).
I have to go due to the fact that neither Molly nor Matilda have slept today and as a result they are going crazy and doing my head in!!!
See you next week.
Cheers,
Ange

Hi everyone,
we were discussing the option of going to the wiggles concert. It is on from the 26th to the 29th of May. There are two session times, 10am and 12:30pm. I was going to try and get tickets on wednesday morning when they are released. You are allowed to buy ten tickets. Children and adults are $20 each. children under 12 months are free. If anyone wants to come I was going to try and get tickets for the thursday session at 10am. let me know if you want me to get tickets. Iwill be leaving he twins at home for the concert. No prams allowed i think.
Also we were discussing to have a sort of dinner/meeting for mothers group on either the last weekend in march or the first in april. Friday or Saturday nights. Whatever suits everyone. Lets try and all get there. I thought this far ahead so Naomi could come.
I think thats about it. see you all on thursday,
Or if you want to come with and buy tickets on wednesday see you then.

Hi from me!
Hi guys, thought I would also update you all on my whereabouts.... Been very busy with a full household of visitors that have been coming and going for the past 1.5 weeks. My parents are staying with me, as mum had surgery and was in the Royal Women Hospital all last week (nothing nasty, but a timely reminder for all of us to keep doing our pelvic floor exercises so we don't end up needing the same thing!!!!. Then we also had our neice with us, as her 19 y.o. boyfriend had a car accident with a bus 2 weeks ago and has been in the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a coma and with serious head injuries. This & all the heart ache of the bush fire tragedy, it's been an emotional week and a bit.
So I'm also heading bush this Friday to get away from Melbourne for a bit. Will be with my parents until March 9th, to take care of my mum while she is recovering.
Sorry for all the negative news, but I will finish off on a positive note - we are taking Gracie to see Dorothy the Dinosaur in Swan Hill on March 9th, so I'm sure that will be a happy experience for us all!
Thinking of you all and will catch up with tales to tell from our farm stay when we see you in March. Hang in there Naomi!
Love Jodie

Long time no blog!!
Hi Everyone!!
Oh my god how I have missed group the last month since BUDDY went to car heaven!
I am so sorry I haven't been in touch with everyone but as I have finally got some access to a computer, I thought I would jump on and let you all know how we have been.
So 2009 has been quite a difficult year for the Leppards so far - having 2 kids is far harder than I ever expected and living out at Craigieburn with no friends or family around is a fairly massive drawback that has taken some of the shine off the new house. The whole infected caesar thing was a fairly trying experience as was the whole "let's move with a 2 week old baby" idea. The weather has absolutely sucked, I am fairly sure that I have the dreaded Post Natal Depression or some variation of it, my one link to the outside world was taken away (car) and I have just found out Trav has been gambling again so we are now trying to deal with that.
Now we are heading into a recession which is sounding a lot scarier as an adult than when I was 10, the last one we went through and with the devastasting fires in the region and with all the loss and sadness surrounding that, the world is not a fun place right now.
So I am up in the country visiting and taking some time out with the family till about the 22nd of March or so. Mums, I'm not trying to get sympathy or anything like that- there are ALOT of Aussies that my heart just aches for right now but I thought that this was probably the best way that I could let everyone know how we have been and sometimes I find it easier to say things via words rather than speech - bit cowardly but a little easier.
I would love to read about your adventures if anyone can be bothered and things for us will improve I'm sure, we will have our fences up when we get back home and the internet is just a new screen away and one great thing has already happened this week - my lovely mum bought me a new buddy!! that's right a white magna(in much better condition) but exactly the same!! Ha ha you gotta laugh!! Will try and write again soon and will be back at group as soon as I get back!
Love to all

Hi everyone,
Hope the new year has got off to a good start for all of us very busy mums & dads!!
After having plain biscuits for the last 2 weeks, it's time to draw up a new roster for the key and morning tea provisions for the next few months, and since I have both children asleep at the same time, I thought I'd give it a go. As before, if dates don't suit, then please organise your own swaps and then you can edit this blog so everyone knows what's going on.
Deb & Karl, I have kept you off for obvious reasons, but if your circumstances change at all, we can always re-jig the roster then.
So here it is:
Kitty & Key Roster:
Jan - Jodie P
Feb - Sarina
Mar - Lauren
Apr - Naomi
May - Jodie F
Jun - Ange
Jul - Kate
Sep - Amanda
Oct - Jodie P
Morning Tea Roster:

2008/2009 stuff
Well, didn't the b'day/Christmas period fly past! I'm back at work, and Karl is now off work. We didn't get to spend any time together which was a killer... you know how couply we are. I hope you have all survived and had a great time over this festive season. It would be great if you'd write a little bit about your festive times. After having his b'day and Christmas so close together Red seems to have gotten the hang of getting presents. He started getting gifts a day before his birthday and then seemed to get them every day through to Boxing Day which saw him asking for a 'prize' every day. I think he thought that you just get them some times for no reason. He also very cutely spends most of the day singing Happy Birthday to himself. Interestingly, he's going through a 'mine' stage which coincides with Issy getting Christmas presents, and he doesn't really get the concept that some toys are hers. He's never experienced toys at our place that aren't his, so that's been a bit challenging. But all in all my week at home with the children was a delight. Issy is growing up way too fast, she's walking around the furniture (since about 7mths!!), and has even taught herself to slide off the couch backwards!
Well, I better get to work. Hope we manage to see you sooner than later, it was disappointing that most of you couldn't make Red's party.
Best wishes for 2009
Deb
(ps Kate, are you ready to burst? Hope the weather hasn't been knocking you about too much!)
I received an email from a friend who is asking for some assistance so if you have the time can you pls help...
For those of you who don't know Andrew and I are starting a baby food business- wow now there really is pressure now that everyone knows!! Anyway we need your help with a little market research.
Fresh Start Baby Food is a new company, with an exciting new concept. 'Fresh and Local'. Our baby food will be freshly hand-made using local ingredients. We will deliver the product straight to your door, or you may pick it up from our purpose built commercial kitchen. We are preparing to launch our product in March 2009, and would like to listen to what parent's have to say, so we can continue to develop the best possible product and service. If you have the time to answer a quick 20 question survey we would really appreciate your feedback. Just click the link below and follow the prompts. http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB228MWEH4QKA

Merry Christmas
Hello all,
just thought I would wish you and your families a Merry Christmas. Not too sure if we are still using this blog because it has been so long since anyone has written on it but anyhow.
What a year it has been, It has definitely been a rollercoaster ride for a lot of us. Things have happened that were totally unexpected including finding out I was pregnant with the twins!!!
And now here we all are with our ever expanding families, all with new additions or not too far away ones. Congratulations to us all!!!! And what an amazing achievement that we will have 19 children under the age of 3 by the time every one has given birth between us.
Oh my god!!!! Welcome to our "group" Matilda, Isobel, Amber, Alex, Emma, Ava, Kassidy and Kobi!!! You don't know what you have got yourselves in to. But bring on the boys I think they are feeling a little smothered by all of the girl power!! No pressure Kate!!
Well we have watched our beautiful babies grow into energetic two year olds, the conversations we have with them have changed and their skills are getting a lot better. We can tie the girls hair up into pony tails and the boys shoes are getting bigger and bigger.
On a personal note, Thank you all for your support through out the year. It has been really crazy but you have all helped us immensely with babysitting, cooking and just an ear to listen to whatever i was crapping on about that particular day. thank you
Merry Christmas Everyone and have a safe and happy new year,
See you in the new year
Love always

max's birthday
Hi everyone,
As discussed on thursday I will be taking Max to rare bears on monday morning, ,27/10/2008 for his birthday. We will be there from 9 am because it is easier to keep going after school drop off. I thought after they had a long enough play say after 11:30 we will be heading up to mcdonalds for some lunch.
The reason behind this post is to invite you all to join us if you are not busy. It will be great to see you all there but understand due to work or other commitments you are unable to make it.
Hope to see you then,
lauren

Morning tea swap
Sorry to be a pain but I can't do morning tea for the 20th Nov, I am on a course so a volunteer to swap would be great. I just can't do the 11th Dec either for the same reason.

Group Update
Hi All,
Hoping everyone is fit and well and ready for the BBQ on Sunday!!
Just some Housekeeping from group this week.
We have made a couple of Rosters for the new playgroup which I will also add to the Calendar. If you cannot make your week or month it is up to you to arrange a swap with someone down the list.
KEY + KITTY ROSTER
OCTOBER - ANGE
NOVEMBER - KATE
DECEMBER - AMANDA
JANUARY - JODIE P
FEBRUARY - SARINA
MARCH - KARL
APRIL - NAOMI
This is obviously a temporary roster to get us going, feel free to nominate a month suitable to yourself to take responsibility for being at the centre at 9.30am to let us all in and to make sure the kitty purse and goodies box is up to date and note down any points in communication book.
MORNING TEA ROSTER
23rd October - Lauren
30th October - Jodie F
6th November - Naomi
13th November - Sarina
20th November - Amanda
27th November - Ange
4th December - Jodie P
11th December - Karl
18th December -Kate
25th December - Closed for Christmas
1st January - Closed for Hangovers?? TBA
This one is just to have someone responsible for Morning Tea each week, doesn't have to be elaborate and I think if you spend more than $10 it's too much but it's up to you, so all we are talking about is maybe some fruit/crackers/vegies for kids and if we are lucky some bikkies/cake/something naughty for parents!! Again up to you to swap down the list if you are not coming.
And last but not least we decided that if everyone could just scoop into their pockets one last time for $5 to start our kitty this will be used to the best of our budgeting to keep the goodies box full of necessities i.e. coffee, tea, plain bikkies, etc.
Please give to Ange for October or Kate in November if you arn't there for awhile
Jodie P and Sarina already paid
Thanks Naomi and D

Playgroup this Thursday........
Hey Everyone,
How are you all? Hope you have had a nice weekend, and enjoyed the sunshine!
I went down to council last week and we have the key for our new group venue! I am still in the process of arranging our membership with playgroup victoria, but basically, we can start meeting this Thursday from 9.30am......
I will work out costs and let you all know asap. By the way, I indicated that we would like to use the centre during school holidays, but this is negotiable if we would rather just meet during term time. We can decide as a group what we want to do..
Sooooooo - we will definitely be coming on thursday, however matilda always feeds around 9.30 - 10.00, so I need a volunteer to open up (Tilly will conveniently only feed lying down in the bedroom). Any takers?? I can drop the key off before then, just let me know.
I think that's all I needed to tell you - if I think of anything else you will hear it here first.
Ange :)

Hi Ange,
Thanks so much for getting all this info. I think the timeslot (Thursday) and costs are fine, so I would be happy to go ahead with it. I guess we would only be signing up until the end of this year to begin with anyway, so we can give it a go, and find out if we all like it and whether it's worth continueing next year.
My only concern is that 2 hours will go by really quickly, especially if you get there a little late, it will seem like we have to pack up just after we've unpacked! But it's definitely worth a try.
Thanks again, Jodie, Jeff, Gracie & Ava

Playgroup
Hi all,
well it all sounds great, the venue looks excellent and the location is good for me too, except the day! I don't know if I can change Lily's day in child care, but I will check with her child care centre though, just to make sure. I may not be able to change her day until the new year, but that's only a couple of months away. I don't want to stop everyone else from enjoying this playgroup venue, as it looks so good! Just a shame that Lily will miss out on the fun. I may not make it too often, as my day with just one child is my chance to catch up on everything else, as some of you can understand (having two kids). Thanks Ange for doing all the organising, and the costs sound good too, quite cheap. Go ahead and book it up. On another note, is anyone up for dinner some time soon? I know some of us coulddn't make it with little babies, but I feel the need to escape soon! I can't escape for long though, so somewhere closeby, maybe a friday night. Hope I have some takers on that one. See you all soon.

Hi all,
Sounds good Ange. I just realised I can cancel Axel's Thursday at daycare and keep him in Wednesday, as I was only going to cancel Wednesday because of group. So it works out fine by me. I finish work on October the 16th, but I will pay for my weeks before then. Just yell out when everyone else agrees and when you need the money.
Luv

Party in the Playground info :) (otherwise know as Playgroup stuff)
Hi guys,
I have been on my mission for information/availability/costs, and here it all is..
Basically, the only morning session available at 9.30 - 11.30am is on thursdays. Other days are available from 11.30 onwards, or there are afternoon sessions, however, I get the impression that those times won't suit, due to lunch/nap times. I know Sarina and Jodie (not sure about Jodie and Gracie) have their kids in childcare thursdays, but perhaps a swap of days is possible?? I have put a hold on the Thursday 9.30 session until next Friday so we can make a decision and not have that time slot nicked from us by another rogue mother's group!!
Cost for public liability insurance is a family membership with playgroup victoria, which is $25 per family annually. There is a fourth term discount though, so the cost for the remainder of the year 2008 is $14 per family, which I think is bloody reasonable! (I was expecting it to be a lot more).
As I mentioned, cost for the room is $16.50 per hour, so $33.00 for the whole session. Basically, if we all decide to go ahead with the idea, it will cost $3.70 per session each. I'm not sure how often we have to pay council (it's prob in email, i just didn't check), but I'm guessing quarterly or something. However often though, we would have to all agree and pay the session fees, whether or not we actually attend each week (just in case only a couple turn up, it wouldn't be fair for them to have to pay extra - does that make sense?).
There is also a $30 fee to obtain the key to the centre, of which $20 is refundable whenever we finish up with the centre (additional keys also available). I guess we would have to work out a system with the keys, but that would be easy enough.
So there it all is - I think people seem to think we should go ahead with the idea and I'm happy to follow it all up, but I need to hear from you all to make sure! If it doesn't suit everyone we can go back to the drawing board, but I think it sounds like a fantastic venue and the kids would have a ball each week (so a break for us)! Anyway, let me know, a text or email will do!
I've got to go, Matilda is hungry and making her needs known very vocally, so I will catch up with you all next time1

Playgroup.. rearing it's (ugly?) head again..
Hi All,
I called a lady regarding playgroup (I think it was the same person that Jody spoke to last time) to see if we can get a more permanent and mother's group appropriate venue. Basically, there is nothing available until the watsonia uniting church is finished being refurbished (possibly next term but no guarantees), and then it would almost definitely be an afternoon group. So that's a bummer.. She did mention an alternate venue, which is that little child care centre opposite watsonia school. Apparently they hire out the hall/room/whatever it is to playgroups, we just have to call and find out availability, and arrange insurance through playgroups victoria, just a matter of a phone call.
So basically - what do you all think?
I was thinking that a friday morning would prob suit most? (due to toddler afternoon naps etc), but let me know if another time/day is better.
Or if the whole playgroup idea is not what the majority wants, we can just scrap it til further down the track...
just putting the idea out there....!
by the way, the phone call to the lady was a comedy of errors...!I had Matilda in my arms grizzling, Molly at my feet whinging, Jake our dog barking at the neighbours (just started up as I called) very noisy lawnmower, the bloody wiggles 'hot potato'ing, and the playgroup woman's toddler crying on her end!! My conversation out loud was all nice and polite, but the one in my head was more along the lines of 'fuuuuuccck'......
So I'm off for my morning vodka..
see you all soon!

Born 8.09am 5th Sept 2008
9.4lb (4100g)
Ava, of course, is totally sweet and Jodie is doing really well! She makes the "watermelon delivery method" look very easy. Jodie said that she'll be in hospital til Tuesday. As always the following is from memory... Freemasons, Clarendon St, East Melb, Rm 114, 1 West.
Congratulations to mummy, daddy, toddler and baby Price on a job very well done!

Lazy Sundays
Hi All,
Feels like ages since we have made an entry, but I will try and keep it short!!
Basically I wanted to let everyone know that a couple of weeks ago it was brought up that we should all try and get together on a Sunday maybe for a BBQ or picnic, and I personally thought it was a fantastic idea.
The weather is starting to get nice now the 1st-Gen babies are all up and about, we have a small window between Jodie's overdue bub and Deakins birthday bub and lets face it the dad's haven't all caught up by us forcing them to for some time now!! So before the birthday season begins lets try to have a crack at it?!!
The where we could go has a couple of suggestions - the miniature rail park in Eltham or Bundoora park with the farm has lots for the kids too. So I thought I would throw some dates up and hopefully we can catch up on one or even two of them if not everyone can make one date. So Dates (and don't fret I left Grand Final weekend out)are:-
21st September
5th October
19th October
So if you could either let me know or leave a comment on here as to what dates you and growing family would be able to attend I will get on with further arrangements ASAP!!
Thanks everyone See you at library unless we get a better offer!!!
Naomi and Deakin xoxo

D day has been named...
Hi all,
Just an update on my situation. Just saw the obstetrician and she has booked me in for inducement next Wednesday 10th September, but gave a reassuring comment that she thinks I have an 85% chance of going naturally sometime between now and then. So the next 5.5 days until Wednesday will be very interesting playing the waiting game. (So I definitely won't be at mother's group next week!!!).
Have to go to the Freemasons for fetal monitoring tomorrow and Sunday just for routine checks of the baby now that I'm over due.
So... will be in touch very soon with some news.

Broken Sleep!!!!
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would check in while I am waiting for my two little angels to wake up for yet another feed.
I had forgotten what it was like not to get a full stretch of sleep. Emma and Alex are feeding 3 hourly, so it takes me an hour to feed both, change them and put them back to bed. So we are getting 2 hours of sleep in between feeds. We are trying to take turns at it but Shannon has decided to be sick this week. Yeah the fun never stops.
The twins still haven't been formally discharged from hospital so we have nurses coming to weigh them every second day. They are still not back up to their birth weights or anywhere near them so the feeding does really rule our lives trying to make sure they are drinking enough.
I have just about given up on the breast feeding just ofr the simple fact I don't know how much they are drinking so we are mainly on formula and some expressed milk.
They are beautiful little babies and we can't believe they are here. Still quite shell shocked.
Better go and wake them up. It's the life really eat and then sleep all day
speak to you soon
love lauren.

Kids stuff market
Saturday 11 October
9am - 2pm
Upwey Community Centre
Burwood Hwy, Upwey
$2
Baby/kids market
14 Sept - Croydon
12 Oct - Hawthorn
Anyone want to go to the following one Saturday?
Every Saturday 11 to 5 pm - Books @ Federation Square: Immerse yourself at Melbourne's premier book market held every Saturday at Federation Square. Select from a range of pre-loved, new and specialized books, and with over 5000 titles on display, you are sure to find something you cant wait to get home and read!
I'm trying to give Karl a kids free day each week so he can do his own stuff so I think I'll go to the 14 Sept Croydon market and the 11 Oct Upwey market.
Yes, as the husband I rock! (as the wife Karl rocks too! You should have seen dinner tonight!) I even send him love letters in the mail so if he's having a crap day then there's a lil smile on his face for 5 mins... we should all marry psychologists hey?
It was nice to knock off early today and to catch up with those who were able to make it. I think I'm going to try to knock off early at least once a month and try to keep a little more in the loop.
Til we meet again...
