END IN SIGHT

Hello,

How is everyone? Just thought i would give you an update on where we are at with the twins.

Last week we had a scan which came up showing that the boy twin is not putting on as much weight as the girl. He only weighed 3lbs 9ozs which is very small even for twins. The girl weighed 4lbs 6ozs so she is all good. Alarm bells went off in my head and of course I began to worry.

Anyway we didn't see the doctor till this thursday just gone and he said that there was nothing to worry about. They both have very strong heart beats and good blood flow throughout the body. They are breathing inside already which is a great sign that the lungs are quite mature. But he did suggest that we definitely have a c sect rather than try for a natural delivery as it may cause the little one too much distress.

Therefore we have a date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they haven't tried themselves to get out of me by the 29th of August we are going in. Thank god. So less than 2 weeks which is great news I can't wait, however the reality of twins and two babies with Max as well is starting to set in. I am definitely feeling a bit scared and I need to fit in so much before they get here. It's crazy. We picked up the car today so I drove for the first time in 3 months. It felt so good to be free again, I just wanted to keep on going but had to get home.

More news on our front is that Shannon got the interlock off his car, so he can drive any car he wants to now as long as he is zero. He is very happy. Ethan is in the grand final for football on Sunday (tomorrow) at 9:30 am against Mernda who were the top team, so it should be a tough game. If you wanted to come it's at Eltham Central which is the oval behind the eltham library at 9:30am. I am so proud of him, he has come so far this year and has so much on his mind but he still keeps going and tries his best.

Getting a bit soppy now so I better go have some lunch, hope you all have a great week and to see you soon!!

love lauren

P.S We went to the Templestowe hotel for dinner last night and they have a full buffet. It was fantastic and the desserts were delicious. I ate whatever I wanted cause it was my bday and you wouldn't believe that my sugars were under 6.5. I will never understand this blood sugar thing.
