and some good news????

Well I think that you all know that thanks to Kevin Rudd's razor gang Karl has been made redundant...again! That's two for two (two births followed immediately by two redundancies!). Karl has asked me to consider not having any more children. I'll never say never and I'm not putting anything in writing either.

But the up shot is that my hand has been forced and I am going back to work. But to my dream job. I can now proudly say that I am finally (after 11 years of hard yacka) going to be a (provisional [probationary]) Forensic Psychologist (part-time [two days]) (on a six mth contract). Thankfully they only have two days a week at this stage to offer me so I don't have to go back full time, but if Karl doesn't get anything soon then I can probably also go back to my old job as well and do two days there so I'll almost be full time without being locked into full time work. So things are looking quite (complicated, yes!) rosy (for me at least... poor Karl [and the other 20-some redundancies in his department] are pretty shattered!). I'm sure you can tell from all the brackets that I'm trying to be positive... I am truely excited about my employment but sad for Karl as well. But he'll get something and it'll be bigger and better than his current.

Anyhoo, I'm sure you've read enough about me. How about you guys? Hope to see most of you next Wednesday... poor Naomi was there all by herself on Wednesday (not happy jan)!

And for those that haven't caught up with Kate & Charlie, seems that Charlie just (just!) had a febrile convulsion without the convulsion and nothing more sinister. Which I'm sure you'll all be as relieved as they were to hear.
